The Wedding Mask And Other Tales - Art by Marcia Dye

To promote my recently released Phantom of the Opera Short Story Collection, Marcia Dye painted several gothic pieces inspired by scenes in my stories. More of her artwork can be found at: www.facebook.com/mdyeart

My favourite piece is actually set just before my story, Death and the Nightingale. Erik plans to take Christine to a party in the catacombs, and, as she prepares, she wonders who they will encounter in such a dark place . . .

The Phantom leads Christine through his passages in the Opera house. She knows nothing of the world hidden below and within the building. Erik made her from clay taken from a Swedish beach, and a gypsy spell brought her to life . . .

In Masks, Christine asked Erik to show her his collection of masks. Some are hideous and strange, while there is one the Phantom is desperate to hide . . .
